Back in January, we gave you the 3 ways to find and keep love this year.
This game plan was designed to keep you motivated, focused, and on track. We received an overwhelming amount of responses about how this plan was really helping people. That’s a total #winning for us because helping make your love journey a bit easier is what it’s all about.
If you want to get a quick refresh on those tips, click here.
But, as you already know, it’s hard to stick with the plan you created for yourself back on January 1st.
That’s why we wanted to check-in and do a little spring cleaning for your love life. We’ve created a simple and easy way for you to re-establish those goals.
Here’s your 3 steps to spring clean your love life…
(More powerful than a Swiffer and Mr. Clean Eraser. Promise.)
What are you holding onto that isn’t serving you? Think about this for a second…
In January, you may have created a list for your desired mate. If you look back, is there anything on the list that isn’t as powerful or isn’t as much of a “must” as it was the last time you checked in with yourself?
We had a client who had very specific things he was looking for. Then, after just a month or so, he stopped into tell us there were a few things that didn’t mean as much as he thought it would.
That self-exploration was such a game changer because we were able to weed out what wasn’t essential and create more opportunity for him.
Instead of just theorizing this, write it down. Use the notes on your phone so you can go back, reference and tweak. This will also keep you conscious of what really matters on your next date.
Where have you made major strides?
Often, it is too easy to simply focus on what we didn’t do or didn’t accomplish. While you’re in this writing kick, also take time to write down where you rocked it these past few months.
Not just in your dating life. Your whole life.
As you grow and become more fulfilled in your career, friendships, fitness – you name it, you create even more opportunity for love.
It’s hard to break patterns or take on a new challenge – and stick with it. So, if you did that this winter, go ahead and applaud yourself!
Who can you turn to for quality support?
Springtime is a great few months to reassess the support or help you need to make your dreams a reality.
There is a great article in Entrepreneur that talks about why you should hire a business coach. As I read it, I kept thinking this is the same reason why someone should hire a matchmaker.
Two things that stood out to me:
Brainstorm Brilliance – it’s all about “excavating personal values and beliefs that you never knew existed and linking them to your desires and intentions. Sometimes it takes a new perspective to see an existing connection.” This is exactly what matchmaking can help you do for your love life.
Hold You Accountable – the article points out that “a coach serves as an accountability partner who challenges you to strategize and develop your goals while aligning your efforts toward achieving them.” As a matchmaker, it’s my #1 priority to keep you in the game of love and make sure you achieve your goal. It’s just not something you find on a dating app or by yourself.
We dig into your personal history, past patterns – what’s working and what isn’t – to help you create change where you need it and therefore, help you find the relationship that’s perfect for you in less time.
Remember that just as the seasons bring change and clean slates, you have the same opportunity. All you have to do is make the time and you will see changes.
